Interracial Dating. Good Thing or Bad Thing?

Interracial dating is gaining a lot of popularity and is not something that is widely frowned upon by society as a whole, and is not taboo in today's society, as witnessed by the many and various interracial dating service websites. Although interracial dating is getting more and more mainstream, there are still most folk who refuse to accept these relationships and those who may try to physically or emotionally hurt the couple.

Yet anyone who dares to question almost any form of interracial dating is without hesitation challenged, criticized and dismissed by the "PC police. In today's world, interracial dating is more often seen than before, but that doesn't mean that a grandmother or grandad is going to approve of such a liaison, they are from the kind of days and believe in dating your own kind!!

Black

Blacks (37%) are twice as likely as whites (17%) to have an immediate family member in an interracial marriage, while Hispanics (27%) fall in the middle of those 2 groups. Black men in this country have always been fascinated by white women, at times almost engrossed, because of the forbidden-fruit principle.

Among younger people there is even broader acceptance of interracial dating: 94% of those born since 1977 say it is all right for blacks and whites to love. While it is tempting to assign our view of interracial dating to the union of a black person and a white person, it is noteworthy to recognize that this practice includes many and various other cultures and colour lines. In Britain, 40 per cent of black men are married to or living with a white woman, versus only 21 per cent of black women wed to or living with a white man in the United States.

Asian

Asian includes so a lot diversified groups that it comes close to being meaningless. Asians who live abroad are perhaps more liberal than their counterparts who still live in their country of birth. Ie, Asian girlsusually love outside their race, as do black men, while it is rare that Asian men and black women date outside their race.

East Asians are seen as the most feminine, allowing for more dating choices for ladies and fewer for men. In fact, I met a Chinese-American woman who once claimed that all non-Asians interested in East-Asian girls must have a fetish of various sort!!

Romance

Relationships should be based on mutual affection and love, not race. Interracial relationships have become more common over the past 10 years or so, but people still have comments to make when they see you out. At this point in human evolution and enlightenment, we should be long past prejudicial attitudes and antiquated ideas about interracial relationships. Opposition by family and friends can cause a terror of abandonment that is suffered by at least one member of the bi-racial relationship. If you are involved in an interracial relationship, you may feel pressure from both your own community and the community of your significant other. Innumerable folk respond to this pressure by trying to hide the relationship.

Conclusion

Today, nearly all African Americans (97%) believe that interracial dating is fine. It is my belief that interracial dating is a good thing. Online interracial dating is a comprehensive place to interact with other singles or couples that are also interested in pursuing an interracial liaison, romance or just wanting to date a person of a diverging ethnicity.
